The Lions expect OT LaAdrian Waddle (ACL) to remain sidelined "for a bit."

Waddle underwent surgery in mid-January. It's obviously not surprising he'll remain sidelined "for a bit," but it's notable that the Lions aren't putting any sort of a timetable on his return. As it stands right now, the Lions' 2014 right tackle is a strong candidate to begin 2015 on the reserve/PUP list, costing him six games.

Between this and Fairley Reiff losing favor w Mayhew, the tackle position looks questionable all of a sudden.

It will be at the vet min, so it makes great fiscal sense. He did rate last year on PFF somewhere, but he was rated sooooo... Yep, this is a great move by Mayhew. Add it to the list.
