My basketball coach texted me last night about the pick(He's a Bear's fan) and I made a joke about his 3D glasses. He said the same thing about the NBA. Guess that's another reason I don't watch NBA anymore.

If you look at the subsequent interview clip on detroitlions.com, he is asked by a reporter about glasses and puts some on. They may look almost cartoonish, but I'd say they do have some lens in them.

As to his intelligence, he studied in a degree program to be an actuary and speaks more than one language fluently. Should have more than adequate intelligence to learn the D schemes. I was leery before the draft, but like him a lot more now.

Plus, he's got a sense of humor. When asked if he "hates quarterbacks" his response was no, he loves quarterbacks - wants to give them a big hug. Wonderful!

It's been awhile since we drafted Character and Talent....This is a good pick.....Just wish we started the trend 3 years ago, we might still have 4 or 5 guys still on the team.
