Ron Brown's message to offensive players: "We ain’t giving up on you. We’re in this thing together with you as coaches. I'm in this thing with you. I’m going to bleed, I’m going to cry with you. I’m going to celebrate with you. We ain't going nowhere. I think that message more than anything is what makes greatness.

"If any team thinks they're just going to waltz through a season without a stumble, that doesn't happen very often."

Brown also asked Husker fans to stick with this team.

"Watch them learn from this tough situation, you watch them bounce back," Brown said. "You put your arms around Taylor Martinez and you love up on him because he's a talented young man. ... That's what you do. You don't go on social media and dog on the guy and rip him to shreds. That's the cowardly way out.

"That’s what our players have to learn. That you remove yourself from the cowards and stay with the brave people who are willing to stay in it with you and see this thing through the end."

Ron Brown is right. We sit on our little couches with our little computers on our laps, and we just rip on the guys who are actually doing the work. And we actually believe that our emotional investment........our money that we pump into the program.......actually justifies why we deserve a piece of the pie. We don't deserve shit at this point, because we're just a bunch of cowards.

When a QB plays like shit, we's jest supposed to pat him on the back and say he played well?

Or when our teams going 5-7, we's just supposed to take it on the chin and thank cally for his work? LMAO

That works for the retard Olympics. Maybe NU should hire huggers for after the game. They could meet every player as they leave the field then give them a hug and a participation ribbon.

I haven't ripped anyone but Corey Raymond. I think I'm the only one on this board who hasn't given up on Taylor.

I haven't given up on him. I think he will make a fine WR someday. The sooner the better.

We have all ripped on someone. I ripped on Taylor right after the game, but this kinda stuff puts it all into perspective.

From here on out I am going to do nothing but believe in everything we do. I will believe in this program until the wheels come completely off. And them wheels aint gonna come off.

By the way JJM... you know not what you say in some of these posts above....

and with all due respect Ron... and contrary to peoples beliefs.... these kids need to be held accountable and deal with real life situations... not a cushioned form or protection that shields them from the expectations of fans/friends/future employers and more.

I am all for giving people chances to prove themselves.... and no fan is saying that TM is a bad kid or a bad person... they are questioning his ability to lead this team and get it back to national prominence where you coaches have stated you would take us.

Tell me how this is unfair?

Better yet, let me explain how it is unfair too shelter TM and others or to coddle and pre-chew their food for them... (handling kids/athletes) with kid gloves is the problem now days.. You are setting them up for failure when things get tough and teaching them that the World (fan base) is against them... but the coaches are not...

The perception that everyone hates TM is wrong... actually quite the contrary... people have been rooting for him to have the successes and learn to become our leader... It's in our Nebraska DNA to treat people right... but at some point... even the strongest supporters will question the results if those results show little if any improvement from one year to the next...

I will conclude this by saying again... I think TM has a lot of abilities... however I think he has a problem with being able to make decisions and when given multiple things to do or think about... he panics and loses direction. I would bet (after the 1st couple of games this year) the coaching staff told him that he has to quit running the ball so much or he will not make it through the season un-injured....

What have we all seen in the past couple of games....?

He dang near has stopped altogether... This is what I mean... I believe he has trouble hearing the meaning of this and takes things to literal... or follows the coaches words (verbatim word for word) rather than understanding that when he sees an opening take off but don't run every play... use your teammates as well...use common sense

Maybe I am wrong.... but this is my opinion only...

and to follow up... on this ^^^^

Ask the Big Ten (Delany and Presidents) how important fans are that are sitting on their so called couches....when reaching decisions... that ultimately allows a University to prosper even more...

What was their motivation to have Nebraska join the Big Ten....?

I know... it was because our players try hard... NO.... not it...

It was because we have been so good in the past decade that they needed us to bail out the other Big Ten teams (playing in the NC games) .... NO.... not it....

How about national fan support and the funds television sets bring to the Big Ten.... ding ding ding ding!!!! We have a winner....!

Look at OU, Missouri, Okla. State etc.... How many were asked to or allowed to join another conference that those teams had interest in?

OU could have gone to Pac 12... as long as they brought their big brother...

I side with the "U" on most things... but the fans of Nebraska cannot be dismissed as non-factors... No, fans don't make the decisions... the coaching staff does...

but the fans will always be (the one consistent)... how about the coaches?

Your answer to this question is recent history...

Don't be condemning the fans because they speak out... The truth of the matter is... they are just a larger portion of what Nebraska represents than some of these so called players who run and hide or complain because they are hearing the truth... and don't like reality....

TM already knows the solution to this issue... can he fix it?

Time will tell...

Time will tell indeed. How much more time is my question.

David Lynch- "Absurdity is what I like most in life, and there's humor in struggling in ignorance. If you saw a man repeatedly running into a wall until he was a bloody pulp, after a while it would make you laugh because it becomes absurd."
