I want to see them develop a killer instinct to close games out, time and time again they let teams claw back into the game late in the 3rd, can't give away points at this juncture of the season.

This definitely helps take the sting away from that unfortunate and heartbreaking collapse in DC. Despite what the records and statistics may show, I feel we're a better team that the Caps altogether. We're better defensively and in net, especially at even strength, and despite the overall difference in goals scored, our offense can go toe to toe with theirs.

The terrible goal scoring slump we had for the first five weeks of the season really skews the offensive numbers in their favor, but that's clearly not the team we are now. Also, our power play is 8 for 30 this month, which is close to 27%, so again, we're better in that area as well. I thought our power play completely dominated the game last night.
