Broken system. Someone can have $6.5 million in assets, make $115,000/MONTH, and still file for bankruptcy. What a load of crap. What the hell does he need credit for, he'll just pay for everything in cash and live the same lifestyle.

Here's to hoping he gets forced into a Chapter 13 bankruptcy.

I was sort of wondering the same thing..... His assets and debts were only a couple hundred thousand apart. I'm guessing that the filing was more of a debt restructuring bankruptcy -- At least I hope it is.

At the very least, I think the NFL Network has to reconsider why they hire this clown. He almost got the league in a boatload of trouble by claiming Shockey was a snitch (which by the way could still cost the league millions), he's not very entertaining, and it turns out that he also sucks at life. I wouldn't be sad to see him disappear from television.

Chapter 11 and 13 are reorganization bankruptcies. Sapp filed Chapter 7. In his case the only debt that may not be discharged is any child or spousal support. I'm not sure how the liquidation process works, but unless it'll cover a majority of that $6.7 million he owes, it seems like an easy way out. Otherwise, the way I see it, for someone with his income, there's no reason why his debt shouldn't be restructured so he can pay off that debt.

I believe child and spousal support is usually exempt from bankruptcy. He should have to pay that.

That said, I'm not sure if it's true in every state, but some states require you to pay a percentage of your income and I think that's crazy. I think it was TO who had to give his baby mommas $40K a MONTH for child support. I wonder how much of that is really going towards the child. It's a broken system all around.

if he gets a talk radio job that's fine, but the fact that he was hired by the NFL owned network to trashtalk the product (players, teams, etc) is beyond me.
