Did these guys get banned? If so, what for?

This whole pissing match sure seems one sided. How come the Dallas fans can come here and (a few only) wreak havoc in some of our threads yet these guys go to their sites on the trash talking threads and get banned?

Warpath got a 3 day ban after a 1 day ban for getting into it with boys fans, their mod and the site admin. its a bit hazy cuz there are apparently some PMs in play as well as bad history with some boys fans at Disney. Lots of personal attacks and anger from both sides. Hard to know the whole story.

apratt, looks like a perm ban, I'm not sure what's up, but apparently there is some history from Disney there as well.

Actually, it's obvious that history with Disney is the primary problem. Its a shame, cuz this should be a fresh start from those board wars.

apratt turned out to be reptec. AKA public enemy number 1 on the Boys board from Disney.

And yes all this stems from bad blood that started at disney.

OK, bad blood goes 2 ways. Was it reciprocal? Cause there are a couple of dallas posters (we all know who they are) that come here and derail threads constantly outside of the trash talking thread. Also, was warpath outside of the dallas trash talking thread when he got into it?

IM staying out of it. Bad blood flows both ways, there are a few over there I cant stand, and Im sure the feeling is mutual. I havent posted there since the season officially started, and I have and will hold my thoughts some what going forward.

Yep - that is why I recommended that Warpath simply stay off the Dallas board. Honestly - outside of when the teams play & perhaps the end of the season what reason is there to post over there? Very few of their posters are witty, objective or provide any sense of knowledge or entertainment. Unless any of you have the specific intention of trolling the place I would avoid it - at least in terms of posting.

To add to this - I do take issue with having a diehard Boys fan police this place when even they would - if honest - admit that it is impossible to be objective in that situation. I certainly would remove my name if I were nominated to be a mod - at any level - for the Boys or Eagles forums. The logic with this setup makes absolutely no sense. That (& the 5 minute limit on editing) is perhaps the only thing I don't like about this place.

Now back to football..

I don't disagree with either of you. I rarely post over there, but I do peruse the site occasionally. Its really not worth it in that you can't have an intelligent conversation with those dallas posters that will engage in such without a couple of their resident idiots derailing the thread. I'm sure they feel the same when they come here.

What irks me is more centered around their mod coming here on our site and engaging in bashing (usually mildly) but then chastising and banning our posters when a 2 way heated argument starts. If you are going to ban, ban both involved. It just doesn't sit right with me that a Skins poster was banned due to an ugly back and forth but the cowboys poster wasn't. I didn't see the argument, so maybe there is more to it, but based on what some of their trolls do here (albeit just a couple), they should also have a "time out".

You guys are taking a good approach by just staying out of it. I am not sure why anyone would go over there (on the other teams boards, Dallas in particular) trying to have any sort of converstion with any of them. Going over there is obviously asking for trouble. I haven't seen a whole lot of Cowboy posters over here in the last day or so..so I think they are getting the picture too.

FWIW, Nearly all of the mods on this site usually have handled situations the right way from what I have seen over the last several years. If someone gets a timeout or a perma-ban... it is usually for good reason. behind it. I think if Warpath wants to come back, stays off of their board, and wants to just have good Redskins football talk, he will be fine.

I think the difference is The only come to the Cowboys forum only to start trash. We have guys Like Kevin and Shark who frequent our board to talk football and 90% of our board gets along fine with those guys. Reptec and Warpath came to cause trouble 100% of the time IMHO.

I banned both of them and won't apologize for either.

As far as Reptec, I will say that he sent us AT LEAST 20 nasty emails full of the vilest threats. He created AT LEAST 20 alts here and somehow begged his way back in one more time and couldn't last 72 hrs. He'll never be back here despite his disturbing obsession with us. His final email was to tell me he was gone for good and wouldn't be back. Yeah, right. He just created another alt this morning. The creep is an incorrigible misfit and I'd think anyone would be happy to see him gone. He's gotten way more attention here than he deserves.

Warpath wrapped himself in explosives and detonated very publicly. I tried to reason with him but he was dead set on making some point and requested that his account be deleted.

Please don't make this a Dallas vs. Washington thing because I couldn't care less about that. I've asked Fordman to stay off this board and despite the fact that he's a trusted supermod, he's agreed to it.

Please don't criticize any SportsHoopla staff because they work too damned hard and give way too much time here to face that.

snookdad, you cant be serious. PDAY and UKCowboy do the exact same thing on this board. I have no problem with dallas fans coming to this board if they are truly interested in intelligent discussion. That doesn't mean we are going to agree, but we can have a honest (and a little bit biased) debate about football, our teams, etc. That is not what PDay, UK Cowboy and a few others are interested in. I know you've seen these guys in action both here and at Disney. As shark pointed out, its kinda a shame in that we could have had a fresh start on this site and kept our debates lively, yet civil.

I realize that we also have fans that frequent your boards to do the same thing. If these two were banned for it, fine. I just struggle with these 2 ONLY being banned when it is rampant on both boards. All I ask is we keep it consistent. Warpath and Apratt are not the sole purveyors of posts that derail threads. I can promise you, if I posted an innocuous response on any thread on the Cowboys site, it a matter of hours PDay or one of the other few (and I do mean few, most of you guys are passionate, but alright) would respond with some sort of belittling post. Personally, I don't care other than the enforcement must me uniform.

Hammerdown, as I said, if they violate rules, I have no problem. I just hope for uniformity in the enforcement as we have visitors that do the exact same thing here. As I've told Fordman in other posts, I actually have no problem with him on our site, he takes his shots, but that's ok. He also talks reasonable football.

i have been trying to avoid banning . so far the fans have been using the smack talk thread and if they go off it i respond

but they have to follow rules

and hammer i dont care if fordman posts here . he isnt doing anything wrong that i can tell .

that stuff with them and warpth and apratti is carry over from ESPN

if i see it getting out of hand i will take stronger action

i posted the rules , i contacted both parties about cursing on this board and that was that

Rapt... the problem is, it almost always devolves into personal attacks. And as has been stated, there is alot of bad blood that got dragged over from Disney. Its the main reason why Im actually glad some of the so called Skins fans DIDNt migrate over. Disagreeing is fine, but name calling. Threats and stalking is over the line. Talking trash is fine, I dont even care about the occasional F-Bomb. But some times you just got to seperate the kids or some one ends up hurt for real. And none of us come here for that type of BS.

I agree. If it becomes personal and over the line then action needs to take place.

I think everyone was a little sensitive last week and things escalated.

I believe there is a middle ground.

Forums are a great thing to come out of all the computer technology. They can also be a real PIA. Anonymous taunting for some is like a license to be an all out ass. It's not just Redskins vs. Dallas, it's also my GFs local posting board and the way some people conduct themselves on there.

I can't speak for everyone but all the taunting and trash talking on Disney got old and tiresome. I was happy to come here and not have that. I live in the Washington DC area and work with fans of Dallas, Pittsburgh and Baltimore. We keep the trash talking to a minimum and with good reason. Someone would end up in a shouting match or out in the parking lot. It should be the same here except the mods have to stop the BS and hopefully they will no matter who they root for.

I should be able to come here and not be harassed by someone who wants to talk shit at every turn. That should be true of all boards. If you feel so strongly that you need to go talk trash then use the smack talk thread. I know I have no desire to be part of that but at least they provide that for those who like the trash talking.

What I am real hopeful of is that we are all adults here and will act like adults.
