The key to success for the Flames having success this year is keeping Giordano healthy. They were much better with him in the lineup last year.

If Ellis hits the wire again later in the season (once the injuries start piling up) he'll probably get grabbed.

He's pretty much the definition of an injury call-up caliber player.

Every team has one already though. I thought T.J. Brennan would be that guy for the Isles, but it looks like he might make the team.

I think Sven has earned a starting job with his play in the pre-season. He looks bigger and stronger this year (winning way more puck battles along the boards). I'm hoping he can be a permanent fixture in the Flames lineup.
