How do we keep getting such long layoffs between games?

Down 6 at half. Green can't shoot at all. He's something like 1-8. WF is really making him work too. They're hedging on the screens because they know the screener is no threat because we never pass to them ever off a screen so Green is getting pushed back to halfcourt with a double team. He either needs to split the double off the screen since he knows its coming or JJ needs to run some secondary options while the screen is taking place to free up a shooter for Green when he's initially doubled.

Eddie is shooting well, but offense is still missing opportunities. I noticed JVZ and Raines both getting good post ups deep underneath the basket but the guards aren't getting them the ball. They're ignoring them to just pass around the perimeter. They've got to stop doing this. WF has stretched out its D knowing the post is no threat. Make them pay.

Defense is better than most games, but its still very inconsistent. One possession will be great, but the next 2 will be terrible with 3 guys chasing the ball and blowing assignments.

Wake isn't pulling away despite Green's struggles (they suck too) so hopefully we tighten up our game to get a winnable game

Whew. We lucked out big time. Up by 1 with 9ish seconds, WF easily beats Rankin off the dribble but misses the layup and the putback as time expires.

Better 2nd half for Green. He started getting to the paint more off isos to create shots. And JJ made a nice adjustment by using Eddie to screen for Green so the defense at least had to respect his shot. While Green got going, no one else did much of anything until the final minute when Eddie, Rankin (yes you read that right), and Brown all hit big shots. If we ever get offensive balance, we could do some real damage.

Rebounding much better in 2nd half, defense was sporadic. Overall, I'm just happy we won

Well that was a close one, but I'll take it! Brown played terrible all game and I thought they were gonna call a charge on that last runner, but thankfully they didn't

The interior passing seemed a lot better today. JVZ and Raines both need to be in the game together. Brown can't hit anything from outside, but he has been effective driving to the basket late in the last couple of games. If JJ can get Barksdale to be more aggressive and find a way to fix the rebounding problems, then this team has chance to win some games down the stretch.
