I remember this guy flipping to Vandy around this time of year awhile back.

I believe he ended up transferring to JMU. Not sure he is with them anymore. Also, I remember the Blue fiasco, but we def dodged a bulled there in the end.

Thourogood spent a couple years at Vandy and was switched from QB to FB.....then he transferred to JMU and had his first season there derailed by injuries. So I assume he he will be a Junior at JMU next year. JMU's website has him back at QB, but he's sitting behind GT transfer Vad Lee.

I agree. Just saying it looks like we didn't pull his offer, and the HokieHaven rumors were not correct.

I'm pretty lost about where we are at this point... are there any big names out there that we're waiting for signing day or near signing day to hear from? Is this class set and we're in protect mode?

Who's still out there and when do expect to hear about their choice?

Any potential SD surprises (good - like Maddy; or bad - like so many names it's hard to choose)?

Seems like we are still looking for DE and OL. A few guys I've seen mentioned:

DE Chazmyn Turner: 2* Purdue commit from NC. 6'5 240 and apparently showed out in the Shrine Bowl. Visiting soon. Chazmyn Turner

OL Trent Levell: 6'4 295 from GA. No other major offers, but he has a mean streak based on his highlights. Trent Levell

Tennessee pulled their lowest rated DE's offer. 4* Marques Ford from Florida. I think we were in his top 4 or 5, and according to his 247 profile VT was his most recent visit other than TN. Maybe there's a chance?

This feels like the most "meh" Signing Day we've had in a looooooonnnnngggg time. Only worried about bad news, not expecting anything good or waiting to hear from any big fish.

I like getting more options at center especially as gray shirt. It puts him in line to have gap in years with Gallo if Gallo turns out to be our guy.
