What a nice relaxing game to attend for a change. Had the usual number of Canuckleheads in attendance but they were rather subdued for a change. Go Figure. The few I talked to weren't nearly as arrogant (even before the game started) as normal. And this with the good start to the season their hockey team has had. Of course they were all about how great Miller has been. Just a little strange. Maybe a different group that came down from Vancouver for this game. They even chuckled at my use of Puck's nickname for them as I said wow we're being invaded by "Vanloser" fans again.

After a little sloppy start to the game the Kings settled right in and played "Kings Hockey" the rest of the game. Even with building the big 3-0 lead in the first period they didn't back off at all and just kept the pressure on the Canucks the entire game. Too bad they couldn't get Quick the shutout but like he says it's all about wins. The Sedins were pretty much invisible all game. Sutter had Richards, King and Brown out against their line all night. Good job by those guys.

Trevor Lewis had another good game. Good to see Gaborik get on the score sheet with his first goal. He and Kopitar are starting to click again. Not sure why Kopitar didn't get one of the 3 stars as I thought he was the best King forward on the ice. But the media's choices were OK I guess. Nice to spread those awards around. Martinez did have a great game both offensively and on the defensive side. Always fun to beat Vancouver and send their fans away from Staples with their tails between their legs.

The daughter and I have already split the season with friends of my daughter but the two guys who have the seats in front of us sell theirs often. Usually just for what they pay ($40 each) so I'll keep everyone here posted on when their up for grabs. Might sell ours for Thursday's game against Dallas if the guys we split the seats with don't want to go. Daughter has to work Friday and her hours are from 6:00am until 3:00pm so she has to get up around 5:00am and the late drive home makes it hard on her to get up on time. I'll know more by Tuesday.

Where are your seats Ox? I may be interested in trying to get to a game in mid December when I'm in California for my 2 week vacation.

I have been in Ox's seats a couple of times.
They are very good: low in the top deck, center ice, near aisle.

Never a different group, they just have minimal to be boisterous about now. Nothing like several years' worth of humble pie to get a myopic fan base to zip it.

So glad their "time" is essentially up.

They even chuckled at my use of Puck's nickname for them as I said wow we're being invaded by "Vanloser" fans again.

Bunch of knuckleheads. The moniker is fitting, they were delusional beyond belief - never took into consideration they beat the hell out of a pathetic division for years racking up points but were no real match for legitimately built contending teams.

I noticed on one of my Canadian buddy's Facebook page he and his cousin were giving each other grief since my friend is a Kings fan and his cousin a Canucks fan, and I made a joking comment about the score. Dude's cousin went off on me with four letter tirades, to which I responded back with all guns blazing (pretty sure you guys know how that goes the last almost 15 years) with fact and massive insults.

Not a peep back. Shocker.

Missed the game unfortunately, spent the evening at Dismaland with the family and kids (Mrs. Puck bought family passes a few months ago. We didn't get home until 12:30am, kids were down for the count and 2 of the 4 slept in way past their usual wake up time Sunday. I'll take that any day of the week). Did keep checking the score and was pleasantly surprised, the way the Kings were playing I was hoping they'd have a game like that to get back on track.

Doesn't hurt I have Martinez in the FHL and he had a solid night. Dustin Brown however, I have thrown in the towel on him and dumped him first thing Sunday morning. Nothing short of useless the first month of the season and I don't see that changing.

He's all yours, FHL guys!

=)~~

Puck - When you graduate law school, have a good understanding of the law, and know what you can get away with... You have to make the hot dog scenario a reality.. and have it recorded. You have to.

Muzzin hasn't reached J-Blow status yet but I seem very similar parallels to their games, their progression, the hype and their status within the organization. But Muffin is well on his way and by the time I graduate (should be 4 years from now) he should still probably be here and might reach that status.

Had I not had a court appearance in 2008 I would have tagged J-Blow, I had this plan down to miniscule details and back up scenarios. No player ever in the history of the Kings deserved it more in my opinion.
