Verlander/Sonny Gray Part 2 -- who you got?

This time for all the marbles. Hopefully now that the Tigers got to see Sonny Gray pitch -- they will know more of what to expect.

Ballsy move by Oakland to go with the 24 year old rookie over their regular season horse of Bartolo Colon. I actually agree with the move though.

Too bad for the Tigers that the season was done after losing game 3, so game 5 will just be going thru the motion before the A's move on to the ALCS.

Something tells me there will be more runs scored in this game than people think. Wouldn't bet any money either way but I think the A's eeek this one out.

I made my prediction on the other thread.... 2-1 Tigers. Verlander with 8 IP / 1 run. Someone on the Tigers gets lucky and runs into a Gray 96-MPH heater for a 2-run homer.

My prediction is rooted in nothing more than my high hopes for this Tiger team.

I ALMOST nailed the prediction. Got the total runs correct (though I said 2-1 Tigers), Verlander going 8, someone hits a 2-run HR off Gray, and Benoit closes the game for the save. Off to Vegas, now.....
