A useful idiot.
Well, it looks like Vancouver is finally getting on the stick with the riot investigation. They have issued a poster that they are passing out to citizens and have posted online to help gather information about suspects.
The poster has pictures of more than 100 rioters and asks residents to call or e-mail with tips on the identity of the individuals.
According to the poster, more than 75 officers, analysts and technicians have viewed more than 5,000 hours of video footage. To put that in perspective, if you had 3 people doing nothing but viewing footage 24/7 with no delays inbetween viewing, taking notes, etc., it would STILL take 70 days to get through it all.
HERE is the poster (pdf).
While it does seem like they've been slow on this, my guess is that they took the time to really identify the worst offenders in the whole thing and waited to move forward until they made that list. Looks like they have it now and I'm guessing they'll figure out who most of these people are within a week.
