Vance Joseph - Part III

It's been quite a year for Vance Joseph. For a while there - it looked to me like he lost the team or the team wasn't responding to him. I'll give him credit for the last two weeks in getting this team ready to play hard and execute. Let's let Vance Joseph actually pick his own coaching staff before we give him a bus ticket to Boulder. I think it says something about VJ's personal character that he didn't panic during the losing streak and pulled the team out of a complete dive. It is all about the culture of winning.

[this is about my 4 position on Vance Joseph since he was hired]

I was on board with VJ going into Oct
The losing streak I thought VJ was over his head. I wanted him let go.
In Dec I changed my tune thanks to CEH's views on No QB that JE left him.
4 HC's in 5 yrs is bad like CEH said,
VJ deserves year 2 but, NYJ and Indy games were wins but, lets not get carried away on either team we faced on those days (bad Teams)(Jets play better at home)
I do agree with Mingo let VJ pick his staff.
JE get QB LT ILB at minimum in 18 to give VJ a chance to be a HC for awhile. If not we'll be more justified moving on.

Vance Joseph will be back next year. I'm convinced of that (sorry @58crash). I think he deserves a 2nd year but if it's a repeat of 2017.....all bets are off.

If Elway continues to call the shots, no improvement is possible.
VJ had the same problem in Miami with Marino and the rest of "the committee.....

VJ does need to be given authority to put his staff together - he appears to be a fan of Musgrave.

SF is alot easier no pressure to win now. Who knows how Shanny jr and Elway with high standards would mesh. PS Happy New Year Mingo

That's fine and dandy, but who are we going to bring in? Is Kubes healthy? I saw where he may be offered a more full time executive job. Bill O'brien? Nobody else really jumps out at me. I can't see Gruden and Elway working together.

There has long been a sense that Harbaugh, who was 44-19-1 with one Super Bowl appearance in four seasons as coach of the 49ers from 2011-14, would like to try the NFL again. Should he make himself available, he'd be very intriguing to more than one team.

I would not like this at all. Jim Harbs could be interesting, though. I doubt he leaves Michigan until he can beat Ohio State, though.
