Where in Spain? Planning a trip for next year (still in the infancy of planning) for a few stops in Europe and Barcelona may be a part of it. Outside shot at Madrid too

Staying in Bacelona. Will hit Madrid for a day. I really want to get down to Ronda. Google it, you'll want to go too. Also want to make it to Ibiza. Portugal is also in the plans.

Between Maui and Ohau we've beenbto Hawaii ant 15 times.
Puerto Rico and Belize were grate trips. Costa Rica was a bit boring but I'm pretty sure it was just us that year. We really had no interest going anywhere that time.

Loved maui better then Oahu. Well after maui, I won't be going on vacation for a long time $$$. Enjoy, brother in law loved Spain last year.

You can't find a more relaxing vacation the Hawaii. They almost had us buying time share in maui.

We got tired of spending so much on hotels a few years ago and bought a house that we rent out year around. The property management company we hired knows to block off the first 2 weeks in June for our family vacation and to keep it booked the rest of the year.

Only problem is my brother and sister kept having kids and now we have kind of outgrown the one we are in and need more space. When I retire I plan to spend a month or so there a couple times a year. I cant wait to be on semi-permanent island time.

That's the way to go. Buy a place and let tourist pay your mortgage. When we were going to Maui we'd rent a place owned by a individual, when we went to Oahu we usually stayed at the Hali Kola.

We stayed at the Hale Koa a few times because my sister's husband is a military guy and he booked some rooms with his military discount. They have a pretty dang good breakfast buffet too, lol.

We also stayed next door at the Hilton Hawaiian Village but the rooms are fairly steep there at about $200 per night. Nice place though, for the pool and Friday night fireworks and there is an ice cream place in the shops across from the main drive, that I have to eat at just about every night! :D

Did they ever paint the Hola Kowa? When I was there 15 years ago I stayed there.

Yes and they have done some renovations and are still upgrading some things (just finished one of the pools) and it is a pretty cool spot. They have one of the best "lua's" on the island.

I wouldn't do a time share. If I planned on finally retiring in Hawaii I'd look into buying a house or condo and rent it out for the time I'm not there.
