Can we get either the Dodgers or the Giants to take Howard too??
For what it's worth, Bonds and him had one of the best runs as 3/4 hitters. Their 2000 seasons may be the best combo for one season of all time. I'm sure Gehrig and Ruth had some similar seasons, not to mention some other guys, but damn.
Jeff Kent- .334/.424/.596 162 OPS+
Barry Bonds- .306/.440/.688 188 OPS+
Utley trade rumors have been floating for awhile. However I would be OK if the Phillies keep him. He still adds value to our team. He should be a Phllie for life. IMO.
hahaha! You 're right! Utley adds value to our last place team. Let's keep him so we can continue to languish in last place for the next couple of years. Afterall, our farm system is great...we don't need to add any quality prospects!
But you and others believe Amaro is a retard. So how the heck is he going to evaluate and trade for "quality prospects"?
2004 Cardinals had a pretty amazing 3-4-5. Pujols (.331/.415/.657, 173 OPS+), Rolen (.314/.409/.598, 158 OPS+), and Edmonds (.301/.418/.643, 171 OPS+).
Drew/Pujols/Edmonds was pretty good in 2001 as well. Drew had a 161 OPS+ (though he didn't qualify), Pujols 157 and Edmonds at 149.
He should be a Phllie for life. IMO.
Here's some trivia navamind. Don't look it up. Which two teammates have the most home runs on one team together? Hint: They have not been mentioned in this thread (just in case you thought it was Ben Revere and Chase Utley or something)
