I think there should be a rule about calling a timeout to ice the kicker. I think it's bullcrap that they can call one right before the snap. I'd say you can't call a timeout inside of 5 seconds of the play clock. That way if you want to ice the kicker, as long as the kicking team would wait to kick inside of 5 seconds, then it wouldn't be right at the snap.

No. I'm saying the defensive team can't call a timeout at :02. I just don't like that you can call timeout and the whistle isn't blown until the kick is on the way.
