Utah State (2-1 with a loss to Utah) is led by brand-new coach Matt Wells. he only turned 40 years old a month ago (Kiffin is ~38), and he's never been a head coach before (he played QB for Utah State in the 90's).

they have a shot having three straight winning seasons for the first time since 1978 to 1980. here is Pete Fiutak's projection for Utah State this year: "The season will be a success if the Aggies go bowling again. It's still a big deal for the program to get (to a bowl game), and with all the turnover in the coaching staff and with a much, much tougher schedule, getting to six wins won't be as much of a step back as it might appear"

junior Andre Heidari with a 46 yard FG miss for Southern Cal. he hit a long of 63 as a junior in high school. he was 1st Team All-Pac-12 as a freshman and hon men All-Pac-12 last year. coming out of HS, he was a UnderArmour All-American and was rated the #2 kicker in the nation by both Rivals and Scout
