Thanks. Memphis had the highest and the Jazz had the quickest. :( Ours was more impressively bad. Two more points over five more minutes isn't as surprising.

How big and quick was the Lakers comeback over Portland? I will look that up. I think it was 25 or 20 or 28 points or something.

Edit: It appears it was only 15. I felt it was a huge comeback. Maybe I'm thinking of a different game? Top Moments: Famous alley-oop from Kobe to Shaq caps Lakers' comeback | NBA.com

No, but the Memphis lead was the latest of the 3 examples.

So the later the lead, maybe the higher the win probability? I think it deserves recognition for having the largest lead and the latest lead blown.

Also, I still rank this one up there, even though the magnitude of the lead wasn't as great.

Chicago vs. Miami, game 5. Miami had a 3-1 series lead. Chicago was up by 12 with 3:14 left. They no longer lead with 29 seconds left. So it took 2:45 to lose a 12 point lead. They would score only 3 points with 3:14 left. They were 3:14 away from forcing a game 6, and keeping their series alive. This was at home for Chicago.

It was just a pretty large late, very late. That's why it's memorable to me.

The Jannero Pargo game is also a favorite.

Washington lead by 10 with 42 seconds left in game 5 in 2005. The game was tied with 5 seconds left. So it took 37 seconds to lose a 10 point lead. Janerro Pargo scored 9 points and had an assist on a 3-pointer in that span.

With, 5 seconds left was still too much. Even though Washington no longer lead and the game was tied, Gilbert Arenas hit a buzzer beater.

So it wasn't a blown lead, because Chicago never took the lead, they only tied it. But it's still memorable for how much Washington lead by with 42 seconds left, and then of course for the buzzer beater to stop the collapse. And Pargo being responsible for 9 points and an assisted 3 pointer.

One other reason why I wasn't surprised, was because of how early in the game the lead was.

When I'm watching a game or series I'm less invested in, and I'm watching on the DVR, if it gets to a 9 - 13 point lead, I start fast forwarding.

But for this game, when it got to 25, I didn't even think about fast forwarding. Partly because I knew there was still a lot of time left, and because I'm more interested in this game. And also, I wanted to enjoy the game. So I wanted to remember as much of it as I could.

So I knew the game could still get even more blown open, or the lead could still shrink a lot, either way.

Also, since I predicted the Thunder would win at least one game at Salt Lake, that doesn't bode well for Friday.

But, this Jazz franchise has been good lately in game 7's, winning @ Houston in 2007 (which I predicted in game 7 before the series started), and @ L.A. Clippers in 2017.

So, I didn't want to compare against regular season games.

I only wanted to compare leads lost in the playoffs.

But, I'll do this one regular season game.

Dallas @ Lakers, December 2002. Dallas hadn't won against the Lakers at L.A. since 1990.

They had a 27 point lead at the start of the 4th. Or, more accurately, with 4.9 seconds left in the 3rd.

The game was tied with 1:29 left, and the L.A. Lakers took the lead on a Horry FT with 1:18 left.

So it took 10:46 to lose a 27 point lead. One in which they also had at the start of the 4th.

So in terms of the largest lead, latest, this one is up there.

So the Mavericks 24 game losing streak at L.A. against the Lakers continued, and it would reach 26, before the Antione Walker Mavericks would end the streak the following year.

Lose or win, the free throw shooting was horrible.

Overall, this felt like the 2nd best win of the series in terms of quality. But then that free throw shooting is a big blemish, so it may tarnish it.

One thing I liked was that there were less Thunder runs. Those big Thunder runs in other games were scary.

I do love Steven Adams tho. Tough bastard.

In today's game against the Bulls, to break up a fight, Steven Adams literally lifts up Bulls player Tony Bradley, and moves him away from a fight with Morant.

That is incredible.
