I don't like those rules that the same guy can keep shooting in the shootout. I think the NHL has more strategy where you gotta keep using different guys.

I kinda like it. If the NHL did that, I would love it, especially knowing Zuccarello can shoot as many times as he wants.

I would love any international game where a call is not the story.

On the other hand, I will have to remember the "dislodge the net just a little and don't say anything because the next goal will be disallowed" trick. The net didn't have anything to do with Quick whiffing on that shot.

I was surprised the Ref disallowed the goal. I thought it was weak. There's no doubt in my mind Quick had no chance at making a save on that shot.

Yeah, the game and the effort deserved more than a weak call like that effecting everything. But that's International hockey for you. Russia has every right to be pissed. At least the Americans seem to understand they were gifted one and are not yapping it up.


And I know I will catch some crap for it, especially from Devs fans, but I miss watching Kovalchuk. Such vision. And where is this "suspect" Russian defense?

That was fun. I just finished watching the game. Amazingly I avoided hearing the outcome all morning. Not a fan of the shootout but that was pretty cool.

i love him, just a great player, ovie i think is so ovverrated, selfish player, could be one of the GOAT, all the talent in the world

hes lazy defensively, plays no neutral zone coverage, and is a shoot first player who doesnt make his teammates better.
Even his assist numbers are inflated because he gets assists off shots he takes not plays he makes

Great and relevant post. Objective too. That idiot gets assists in missed shots! Why? No one else in the league does.

Oh and can the rules be changed so a player can get an assist on a goal he scores? Then we would see who is best.
