"It’s the most putrid division in all the land. ... Basking in mediocrity, two 3-6 teams have the ability to claim the division title and a team tied for first hasn’t won a game at home. The Giants started 0-6 and still have the opportunity to play in the postseason. The same can be said for the Redskins, who just gave Minnesota its first win in America this season.
...
It’s maddening to think that any one of the four teams in the NFC East will play for a chance at a Super Bowl while teams like San Francisco, Carolina, Chicago, or even New Orleans could potentially not make the playoffs. We’d be better off watching Green Bay with a third-string Scott Tolzien at quarterback before watching Dallas and Tony Romo get punched in the mouth again.
But since an NFC East team has to advance, let’s all root for that team to have a winning record."

NFCE does look like the weakest division right now. Indy getting hammered at home by St. Louis and TN losing at home to Jax doesn't make the AFCS look particularly strong either. But who knows? One only has to go back as far as last season to find an example of a team looking bad heading into the playoffs before getting hot and exceeding expectations.

Water is wet. As long as we're discussing the painfully obvious.

The ravens looked bad all the way up to the playoffs last year, then then looked good and won a super bowl.

Didn't the Shehawks get into the playoffs with a losing record before beating Brees on that crazy Marshawn Lynch run?

Just sayin.....
