Lost an elite HC and 9 draft picks. Their starter at QB is unproven and they have no other options. Why should they be a top 6 team?

Witchcraft. Michigan has produced some pretty darn good teams in the last 15 years. Yet, worse teams have beaten them in that span while Michigan has come up short on too many occasions. The pendulum falls on OSU's side on every occasion. They've required some incredible luck to maintain the streak their on against UM.

Not every loss is witchcraft, it's the series off losses that have spanned a good portion of 18 years years.

This Iowa St love is getting a little ridiculous . They had a nice year by ISU standards the last few years but they still lost a lot from last year's team including their 2 best skill guys on offense . 15 is way too high

Iowa isn't ranked here and Iowa returns a lot more than ISU anyway including a likely first round NFL QB and a top half of the first round DE.

I'd have no issue with ISU in the 22-25 range but 15 is too high

Michigan under Harbaugh has never won their division, let alone the conference. Hasn't finished ranked higher than they were in the pre-season since his first season, and has never finished in the top 5. I need a lot more to convince me that Michigan is a top 5 team than I do that Ohio State is a top 6 team.

Michigan isn't a top 5 team. I think Michigan is appropriately ranked around 10. There's enough losses on defense where that's a question and we have to replace our RB; along with switching offensive systems which could be good or could be bad.

I'm sure OSU will use some witchcraft to beat Michigan again this year but on paper I really do see us as the better team. OSU just lost what - 9 draft picks? And a head coach that will probably land top 5 on anyone's all time greatest HC list? They have to take a step back after that - right?

I think if I were making a list I'd drop them in at like 11/12.

I'd say UM choked it away in 2005 and I guess OSU got lucky in 2013 to stop the 2 point play, but outside of those 2 instances I can't think of any other time OSU got lucky. And I'm not implying OSU got lucky in 2005 either, but UM certainly did cough that shit up.
