ksu: only 2 wins, (against 2 of the worst fbs programs) winless in conf. play, lost to an fcs team,

isu: 1 win, against tulsa (whose 2-4)

Baylor will have their chances now.

None of the undefeated teams has as many ranked teams left on their schedule.

Depending on where Texas ends up (by default and backing into it by accident).

Baylor could conceivably have 4 ranked teams left to play and get style points.

Texas Tech could very well be a top 5 or 6 team by the time Baylor plays them if everything breaks perfectly.

Lots of teams can run up the score. I am very impressed, but that's all they are doing. Defense is very stout, but haven't seen a real test yet.

Some of those names are good historical programs but really how good is 3-4 TCU or Texas (BAD losses to BYU and Ole Miss), OU(crushed by Texas) and Okie St(loss to West Virginia) I'll give them some love if they get through that stretch but not sure how impressive it will be.

I said if everything break perfectly....

I expect the Horns to do what they always do and pummel the Red Raider.

Even in the (5-7) season Texas smacked them around at their place.

But, stranger things have happened.....

If Texas Tech keeps winning, they would be a #5 or #6 type of team before they face Baylor.

I think they lose 2 out of 3 versus OU, OSU, and Texas but who knows....

I agree that it is probably too high for them, but I'd bet they aren't far off. Here are the teams in front of them that will definitely be behind them in the next rankings:

LSU
TAM
Louisville
UCLA
SCar
UGA

That should be enough for them to break the top 10.

I never said they were a top 5/6 team today.

I said its entirely possible for them to climb that high if things work out.

They will likely be #10 or #11 come Monday.

It is not some ridiculous thing for them to jump to #5 or #6 if they win their next 3 games.

That is the meaing of "if everything breaks perfectly".

They are impressive but they also have only played one game away from home and beat a rebuilding and down KState team by 10. Id have em top 10 but not top 5, if the other teams left on their schedule hold serve they will jump people, they need a few wins over some ranked teams and they will get several chances in the coming weeks after Kansas.

Talk about a back loaded schedule. That kinda schedule REALLY sucks. Even Baylor doesn't know how good Baylor is right now. They'll find out soon enough ...

They have only beaten ONE FBS team with a winning record (Buffalo) and one opponent was FCS. Will be interesting to see how they do when play a team with a pulse
