I think Kyle Washington is the piece we were missing all this time. We'll see though.

I always felt gypped we didn't get to see that 2000 team with a healthy K-Mart make a tourney run.

That was probably the team.

Hard to say what your team is missing to make a FF run. It's good all around. Really just lacks the stars that the top programs have now. Just really good solid players. And depth. Lots of depth.

@The Klaw

Our programs may hate each other, but I got nothing but love and respect for the Bearcats. Hope they can make a nice run, maybe beat UCLA.

Although I have to admit, a UNC/UCLA track meet could be a fun game to watch lol

So much for a rebound.

It sounds like a mass exodus is occurring at UConn. First the top assistant leaves, now Vance Jackson and Stephen Enoch transferring....with 2 more players rumored to be considering bouncing.

This might just be the beginning of the end for Uconn.

at least the school has the best basketball program in the country, bar none.

It's just not the men's team. If they finish off this year they're gonna make a legit run at 200.

Yeah they are but they need to get back in the tournament next year though. 4 national titles since 1999 is great though.

No question.

Ollie's first 2 years were or would've been tourney teams (too many guys going pro dropped out rather than finish the semester so APR monster hit us).

But since then it's 1 for 3.

Now injuries were a part of that this year.

But with 2 projected starters transferring it's gonna be hard for them to keep this program where it should be.

I think that just goes to show how good Ollie is as a coach.. Players bouncing around and he still did a pretty good job. And this is coming from a guy who hates the Uconn Men's program!

Well the 2 guys just left.

They had them both last year.

Jackson was emerging as a serious play.

He's gonna be a useful 3/4 guy. Kid can really shoot it, although he has way more airballs than you'd expect from a guy who shot like 40% from 3 in conference play.

And now the top recruit in their incoming glass wants out.

Barring some absolutely random acts of god on the recruiting trail....the sky is officially falling.

That's certainly surprising, I wonder if Ollie will grant it or not. I wonder if he ends up at Providence if he gets released?

I'm sure places like Duke and Louisville are in his ear now about getting starting minutes from day 1.

At this point Ollie needs to be living in the grad transfer world, unless he can get Waters or Harris.

Grad Transfer bigs (like the VCU or Saint Johns kid), plus someone like Elijah Brown to play the Purvis role.

Damn. Another kid transferring out of UConn. I've lost track of how many kids they've lost now/asked out of their LOI.

damn.

Durham wasn't good this year, but he looked like the future at some point.

This is brutal right now.

one of the biggest choke jobs of all time by the women and the mass exodus on the men's side.

It's a bad week to be a husky.

Uconn isn't going to have any depth next year. Do you guys have any transfers coming in that had to sit out 2016-2017?

Nope.

This team needs 2-3 grad transfers.

I like the St Johns Big, maybe an Elijah Brown, or a Kanter.

There's also some JUCo kid who can't shoot a lick but who is supposed to be good otherwise (whose name escapes me right now).

Idk what they're gonna do though. At all.

Honestly this is what makes the women playing at 50% effort (besides Gabby, who was so amazing I struggle to even put it into words) so much more painful.

The guy that averaged 4 ppg and 3 rpg? I can't see him making much of a difference. Elijah Brown would be a good option, but Uconn already has good guard play with Adams, Gilbert and Vital. I think Kanter makes a lot of sense for Uconn. Was actually hoping the Gophers would take a run at Kanter, he'd be a serviceable 4th big man on the Gophers.
