Seriously? I don’t see hardly anyone going nuts with the cap going forward. I won’t even mention recent events, sorry you feel so mistreated but I assure you you are not.

Displace much? How am I feeling mistreated? The Lakers don't shed stars for picks, as they instead reload over rebuild whenever possible. Their superstars retire with the team instead of being sold off for draft capital to trigger a rebuild.

Teams won't go crazy with the cap, sure. They'll try to at least stay under the 2nd apron if not the first. The Suns have a clueless owner trying to play by the old rules. I'm merely pointing out that the Thunder are not in a typical position most teams can aim for.

The crippling cap is making your way much harder. Hopefully after Doncic another team will be stupid as hell for you.

Lakers have stayed under that 2nd apron. Just wait, your Thunder will get there too as their players get to their 2nd and 3rd contracts.

Funny how the Lakers are the ones benefiting from stupidity when you have the Clips offering picks upon picks and SGA for Paul George. You simply don't succeed looking a gift horse in the mouth.

The Clippers trade really seems to bother you. Sorry.

The Mavs trade really seems to bother you. Sorry.
At least the Clippers can argue they thought they were getting the better player.

I really hope the Board Of Governors sends those frauds back to Telosa.

Like Glen Taylor or not, at least had the capital to get the Wolves to the second apron. I don't think these guys do given how long it's taken them to scrape up the funds. It's great that these two were tellinga Taylor how to run the team with his money. But I'm not sure how they will do it when it's theirs.

I also don't trust A-Rod as far as I can throw him.
Towns got moved because Taylor tried to renig on the sale. Fuck glen Taylor for ever and ever.

If you win, you are doing it right. Simple as that.
A lot thought KD was a bitch and the W’s bought championships but they won, simple as that.
They did it different ways.
They won with their drafted players, found a coach and built around the core—-They won one.
They go after a big FA in the somewhat early years with some cap space—-win a couple more.
Now after trying to draft and build again around their superstar it wasn’t working so they go after another FA, aging, but it is what it is. If they win another one, they did it a different way.

Only thing that matters in the equation is winning.

You can do the “right way” and not win anything…nobody remembers that team. Just a fly on the wall.

Exactly...this idea that there's "one right way to build a team" is just pants on head stupid.

However, you build your team, if you do it within the rules, and that team wins...you did it right.

We've seen teams win by building through the draft, we've seen them win by bringing in FA's and/or via trades.

And...every team that wins...wins through some combination of those options...

I'm not sure there's ever been a team that won solely through any 1 of those options...including the Thunder.

OKC traded for their best player so “the right way” was out the door from the start but then again, what is the “right way”?

That’s why there is no right way

All I know is Presti is not going into the draft with 4 first round draft picks, that’s for certain. His window for showing his hand is drawing near.

Towns got moved because we couldn't have 3 max players. Connolly should have traded Rudy. Instead, he extended him.

If he had tried to trade Rudy, he would have got maybe 15% of the return he gave up.

Might as well just resign.

The unfortunate reality about GM positions is that they are often incentivized to make deals that don’t line up with the best interest of the franchise simply to save their own Hyde.
