So here we are - 25% into the season and on pace for around 93 wins! That's good, right? I mean, we're all homers here and most of us here were predicitng around .500. I don't recall (and I'm not looking up the info, either) ANY of the writers @ ESPN, SI, Bleacher or anywhere else even having the Twins winning 75 games or finishing anywhere but 5th in our division - and SOME even had us going backwards from last year's record.
To put that in perspective, to MATCH last year's record, we would need to lose 61.5% of the remaining games, or 75 games from here on out. Think about that. 47-75 the rest of the way.
What in the hell were they missing?
I still don't think 90 wins is going to happen. We are still lacking some talent. Dog days of summer. We've caught some teams at the right time (luck).
But things are looking promising at this point, and who knows... Get Santana back July 2. This is shaping up to be a summer we've been promised for the past 3-4 years.
