The Sox are 4.5 games out - this is the most important series of the year thus far. Are the Sox headed for a 1983 type season or a white flag season?

Pito is hot - the Sox starters have had some very good recent starts - TA and Vaughn are over .300 BA and Pollock - Zavala -Harrison are contributing - Robert is playing well even if not at 100% - even Moncada and Sheets are showing signs of life. Go Sox!!!

I'm becoming less dour with the Sox the last few days I even kind of agree with @richig07 's thread about the Sox possibly becoming hot. The Sox need to win this series.

I actually thought pitching hendricks in the 8th was smart. Have him face the top of the order

The problem I have is that Hendriks should have stayed in to start the 9th if not finish it. He is a pitcher that thrives on work and TLR meters him out one inning at a time. I don't think pitchers pitching well should be taken out until they at least start looking tired. TLR does that with starters - relievers and rest regular players who are in hot streaks. On the other hand, he leaves tired pitchers in to qualify for a W when they are tired and has to go righty/lefty no matter what a player's real data would show.

Recently, the White Sox FO brought up Lenyn Sosa and TLR just sat him for two games and then made him bat leadoff in a 3rd game - showing he is not on the same page with Hahn who wanted to see what Sosa's got.

I'm still stunned at the lack of situational awareness on the triple play - taking the Sox out of a big inning last night.

My exact thoughts. And like I said earlier, when it's losing to your top division rival, it feels like a double loss. This was to be a statement series, but it has been the Twins making the statement.

the white sox have an extreme amount of stupid on their club (starting with JR down thru KW and very much into TLR) and it's too much to overcome. i'll never over-expect with this team again.
