No, it was determined that glow ice was easier to do.

They should play with a disco light puck... Like those underwater disco balls for your pool.

Hey, I'll take it. But doesn't FOX have a really crappy signal? They're picture always seems crappier than everyone else. Regardless my hockey watching is all on a computer, so I don't really care.

or at least a bidding war.
wasn't NBC's last (successful) bid $0 upfront?

Maybe I'm wrong in remembering this, or it was over dramatized to me, but didn't the NHL actually PAY NBC to air limited games in the first season or so? BTW, if FOX having it results in Clement and Thorne, I'm all in. I miss them...reminds me of the snow days spent playing NHL on my PS and Xbox. Good times :)

The few times I watch football games the FOX station normally looks better on the TV than CBS to me

Unless I am mistaken I do not think any of the games would actually be on the actual Fox network, it reads to me like they would want the games to be aired on FX or another Fox cable channel. Probably to allow some Its Always Sunny tie ins with the Flyers.

I think the initial NBC deal was that NBC was allowed to show the games for free and they would split the ad revenue with the league.

There are plenty of NHL games to air, I see no reason why there needs to be only one US cable provider.

Turner would only want a 1-year deal to cover the NBA lockout. :L

Network interest in very good. Hopefully it can expand the acessability of the NHL to us viewers.

Latest government statistics show they should put the games on the Food Channel.

Is there anything they can do that wont be considered "blowing" it?. Some people think going back to ESPN, even if they only aired 1 game a week, would be better than staying with NBC Sports group, other think staying with them would also be blowing it. Theres no way to make everyone happy I think.
