I'm going to make me a poll, just because. I'm ripping off TSN's poll, I want to know what you guys think. I think having 88 on there is ridiculous myself, and while I get the votes for Belfour I really think it's a two horse race. I really really really really really wanted to vote for Bure, he was electrifying, but I had to go with Nieuwy.

Bure is the easy choice for me. Nieuwendyk was never a top ten forward in the game. Belfour was great, but fortythree doesn't seem to care for him, gotta trust his goaltending instincts. Lindros had the highest peak but his career pretty much sucked.

Never was a star player. I was a huge Nieuwendyk fan, but I vote no Hall for Joe.

The problem with stars is some of them burn out early (ala Bure). I'll take consistency with stretches of superlative play every time.

two horse race for me... Bure was remarkable to watch, but gotta give the nod to Joe and his championship success.

If things had gone differently in '94, who knows... but for now... forced to choose I gotta go with Joe.

I thought they were bronzed already. Kaspariatus deserves an honorable mention as well. Maybe they should just put up an exhibit recognizing all the great hockey players who worked hard to turn Lindros's brain into oatmeal.
