that's got to be freakin' tough on the scouting department.

MLB scouting teams are the most taxed in sports. Not only do they have to pore over tens of thousands of draft candidates every year, looking not only at their games, but their character makeups and signability, but they also have to scout everyone else's minor league systems for trade targets. The minor league affiliates I can think of are AAA, AA, A+, A, Rookie Ball, VSL, DSL, extended spring training, and short-season ball. Each affiliate has a roster of about 25 players. That means that each of 31 other teams in the league have at least 225 players who can be scouted.

most of the hockey in the state is played in socal, but the jr sharks are a good program up north as well (even tho they are basically the only program in the north as good as the the better socal teams)

i played there for 2 years as a kid, they actually send a decent handful of players to the bchl and the w. they definately specialize in offense tho. staty at home defense wasn't exactly a popular thing when i played there at least
