love this trade. I think Shaw will have a lengthy career, but I don't see it being as an everyday player. His career numbers look pretty reasonable, but he had a 60 wRC+ over his final 379 PA of the 2016 season (league average is 100). He struggled badly. I like Thornburg a lot.

Thornberg is perfect for the 7th and 8th inning. I picked him up in a fantasy league last year and he was productive. I pulled up a couple of Brewer games on the TV and he saw him pitch three times. He's going to be a fan favorite in Boston.
