I heard of at least 1 read option play today. I think it was a 2 yard run by Morris IIRC

One can always hope.

Chad clarifies his tweet with...'more pistol, quicker throws and more uptempo'

Good read detailing Long and Scherff and their development.

Callahan seriously looks like a shrimp when standing next to them.

Excerpt

According to Callahan, developing two guys at the same time brings long-term benefits.

“They can start young and they can build their communication, they can build their repertoires of moves together, they can learn how to play off of one another,” Callahan said. “When they are in the meeting room, when they are learning together and seated together, there is a lot of benefit to that.”

I think we are all curious as to what we have in Long. We never really saw him play with live bullets and of course neither have the coaches.

But damn I look at this roster and the reported improvement of RGIII and how can we not be better this year?

Well - it that also includes 1st, 2nd & 3rd year players who are improving then I can live with that. Nowhere to go but up. The reality is that nobody really knows what to expect from this team & outside of the team & fans everyone is predicting gloom and doom - love it.

Perhaps in the past. Reality now is that his Twitter acct almost exclusively consists of posts related to charity, his family & our veterans. Pretty impressive. The key will be in him keeping press conferences to a minimum. Given how they used him in the past & how he was scorned I would venture that his press conferences will be much briefer and business like in the future. I have no doubt that he has been advised in this area by several folks in the organization including his teammates (BTW - B. McHenry should be persona non grata in the locker room).

Beyond that - I really don't care. What happens on the field is what matters. He could talk & tweet to the end of time & it wouldn't bother me if he has success similar to 2012. On the flip side - if he were a monk & played like last season I would be the first one to tell him "Nice knowing you - next".
