First trade of the offseason happened today:

Washington Wizards and New Orleans Hornets

Washington Wizards trade: Rashard Lewis & 46th Pick

New Orleans Hornets trade: Emeka Okafor & Trevor Ariza

According to details Lewis can be bought out for 13M instead of paying his entire 23M salary this year. Also Chad Ford thinks this could be an indicator of Bradley Beal at #3 for the Wizards. Nene, Okafor will hold down the 4-5 spots. Ariza is new starting 3. Wall at the 1 and the 2 spot up for grabs.

Good point. That really fucks our mock, though. ;)

Chase Budinger traded to the T-Wolves in exchange for the 18th Pick.

Rockets now have the 14th, 16th and 18th picks in this draft. Run for Howard?

They certainly have a lot of assets at this point. The next couple of days will be very interesting. I doubt Mr. Meyers is getting much sleep.

Rumor has it we have talked to Philly for Iggy. Iggy for #7, Wright or Rush, and Jefferson with Philly possibly giving up a couple 2nds or a future first.

Sounds good to me. I would think that if the Sixers take on RJ's contract, there wouldn't be a pick coming back to the Warriors.

Warriors have also looked at moving up in the draft but #7 and Wright isn't enough to get it done. Moving up looks unlikely.

#7, #30 and D-Wright would be fine, too. I think that's better than the #4 and #24 or #14, #16 and #18 that others can offer.

The article said our #30 didn't represent much value in that kind of trade.

Isn't that in the eye of the beholder? ;)

Every year there are a few head scratchers and high risers that cause some guys to slip. I tend to agree that the 30th pick doesn't hold much value on it's own, but it's value greatly increases on draft day. If anything the 35th pick might hold more value to some teams because of substantial difference in contracts given to 1st rounders as opposed to 2nd rounders.

Makes sense.

Detroit trades Ben Gordon and protected future first to Charlotte for Corey Maggette. Mags has an expiring deal.

I watch Real GM, comment on there periodically.

I don't consider any thread that starts with "According to our sixers insider on the sixers forum (sixerfan1976)" to be reliable reporting. A guy from a different team forum, coming to the Warriors forum and claiming there's an insider on his forum who says something's happening..... If it's not in print, or on a reliable website (e.g. not something like Bleacher Report), I don't consider it a real source.

Chuck, my friend, you should have more of an open mind. You don't know what these guys really know. No need to try to call people out just because you have doubts. You should just take it with a grain of salt if you have doubts.

A week ago or so you tried to call me out on saying Lillard was almost a lock to go to Portland, because you hadn't heard, read or seen it on whatever it is you get your info. Now I'm sure you've read the same.

The point is that it doesn't start or stop with your public displays of doubt. People are trying to discuss and share info and thoughts. Just participate and enjoy, don't try to be the Sheriff of links. It's quite unbecoming.

Chuck, do you remember Jr23 from when we used to be on ESPN? He claimed to have a ton of inside sources, as to date everything he's claimed has came to the surface. Do you consider him reliable, even though it isn't in print?

Broussard says lots of teams are calling Denver. 1 of several moves being discussed is Wilson Chandler to GSW for #7.

I'd have to pass on that because Chandler is coming off a nasty hip surgery.
