that's insane. I posted the complete trade. The Saints could have had the extra players we got and Dotson if they stood at 16.

Of course, it does. When we traded all those picks for RG3, the Rams got all those extra players with our traded picks. Im comparing the trade partners.

Hey Dean, I hate to get in the middle of this, but for shits and giggles, let's say the Saints drafted a punter at 11. According to your logic we would be the clear winners of the trade.

Dotson, and three other picks vs a punter. It's really not who the Saints drafted. It's who we could have drafted.

In a vacuum, if it's Olave vs. what we drafted, yes....we will probably be happy with the trade.

If Hamiton or Williams becomes all-pro we may not feel so good, because we had a chance to draft both of those players.

Hamilton could end up being a player that can't play LB or S. Williams could end up being a different player post injury. No one knows the answer to these things. Hell, Dotson could blow up and end up being the best WR of the bunch.

But to frame the trade based on who the Saints drafted is a little disingenuous imo.
