Will it be Wisconsin if they win on Monday? They would beat the 3 best teams in the country to finish their run imo

If Duke wins they will have beaten two of the Final Four TWICE each.

If Wisconsin wins, they will have 4 wins against final four teams.

An amazing run. Duke's road wasn't chopped liver either.

It was one of the better tournaments. Too bad I couldn't watch the middle because I was too upset at Villanova losing early.

ya I had nova in the final 4. I thought there was no way they would ever have a poor shooting game because of the amount of quality shooters and the way they moved the ball. sucks they played their worst game at the worst time.

Arizona beat 3 #1 seeds in 1997 (KU, UNC, and UK), and is the only team to ever do so. I might be bias, but that gets my vote as the toughest path.

The only reason I disagree is because I thought entering the tourney that UW was the 2nd best team in the country.

97 Arizona Wildcats. They beat three #1 seeded teams(North Carolina, Kansas, & Kentucky) on their way to the title. In the elite 8, they also beat a hot Providence team who beat the #2 seeded Duke.

I thought Wisconsin was the second best team in the country as well. I guess I should have clarified better in the OP

Wisconsin will have the hardest road possible, playing the best possible seed they could have played the entire way through the tournament. I don't know if you can exactly compare them to Zona 97' because there was no possibility for them to play 3 #1 seeds because they had a much better regular season than 97 Zona had. Let's not forget Zona also played a 10 seed in the elite 8 that year.

You could also make a case for 93 UNC having one of the toughest roads as well as 85 Nova, but again only because they put themselves in the position to play a #1 seed in the 2nd round.

Yeah, saying 97 Zona had a tougher schedule based on beating three #1 seeds is a little disrespectful to your current team, which absolutely deserved a #1 seed. Like Eric said, we played the toughest seed possible every single game (8, 4, 2, 1, and 1).

Per KenPom, we've beaten the the 1st, 2nd, and 11th best teams besides us, and now we have to play the third. The only way that can happen is with some sort of seeding mistake, which is exactly what happened when they grouped us with Zona. And in addition to playing the top-ranked #2 seed of the KenPom era, Kentucky was the top-ranked team of the KenPom era. So there's that.

Maybe Duke would have beaten Kentucky, but to me it sure feels like anybody who beat Kentucky and Arizona should have won the title already. If we go through Duke (which will be an epic battle), it is definitely one of the great runs in college history.
