The reason Tommy runs it well is because he keeps his eyes where they are supposed to be.....

Taylor is instantly looking to Abdullah as soon as they make their way towards the perimeter. He literally tells the Defense what he's going to do.

I've noticed that several times Tommy has held on to the ball for a long time and then cut up field on his own and picked up 3 or 4 yards. That is running the option to perfection right there.

I've always said I'd rather have Tommy's ability to get 2-4 tough yds consistently, than Taylor's 3-4 big runs for TD a year.

Did you listen to Bos' presser?
Bo stated he thought Tommy held onto the ball to long and should have pitched it sooner :L

I sure hope Bo doesn't try to micromanage this up & coming shining star. It seems like it's been forever since we've seen somebody actually run the option in that manner.

I think Bo is full of shit on this. If he had pitched it sooner, there wouldn't have been a TD on that play.

There's a 1.125% chance I'm wrong here!

Tommie Frazier was the best to ever run the option in the history of football

Frazier 1st
Frost 2nd
Gill 3rd
Steve Taylor 4th
Crouch 5th

It's just the way I see it.

Tommy throws better than Tommie though.

As a RS he could be just as good in the option in years ahead.

Hes the most natural option runner Nebraska's ever had

Let's not get carried away here. TA has only played a few games. In 2 or 3 years, if he's utilized properly, you may be right then.

Tommie Frazier, Scott Frost, Eric Crouch, and Turner Gill were pretty darned good.

Wow, that is pretty high statement for a 5 game starter. Lets see how he handles rest of season and if he gains starter nod next year.

You may be right. I remember Frazier throwing passes as hard as he could to receivers 3 yds away from him!

Oh yes! Do you remember his furniture chucking expertise? I've been told his receivers hated to practice with him because he would chuck ottomans and other assorted pieces of furniture at them!
