If we are talking about this season the stats say Manning, Brady, Rivers, Smith and RGIII are your top five. You can put them in order however you like. Now, for active players my list is as follows:

1. Peyton Manning
2. Drew Brees
3. Tom Brady
4. Aaron Rodgers
5. Alex Smith

I'll admit to some bias on the 5th.

Bias for the 5th? What's your connection to Smith? I know your Manning connection...

I've been very vocal about how I felt that Smith got a raw deal this season in San Francisco and I have written about how technically sound he is as a QB in the past. I just like what he does and how he does it.

I don't have a connection to the guy. I just have a tremendous amount of respect for Smith for going through so many different coaches and coordinators and still managing to get better every season he has been in the league. I just like the guy.
