Before anyone says anything this is the old Billy Hamilton from the late 1800s to the early 1900s.

In this case I agree with Cal and just don't trust Hamilton's stats. So I have to go with Puckett.

Kirby puckett might be the worst HOF player in the past 20 years... He does not belong IMO...


But this vote really questions what we are doing here, are we picking the player who had the better career, the one who was better compared to his peers, or the player that we think would be best in modern baseball...

At 5'6, I would never want Hamilton in my OF... Nor on my team... He is just way to short... But he played in a time where others were similar sizes... Hamilton clearly had the better career, his stats are absolutely unreal(maybe they are)...

at least in other votes where we compared the pre-1900 player I thought the player was close... But there is not one part of Puckett's numbers that compare to Hamilton's... So I am torn with this vote...
