Using the transitive property in sports is a joke. There's always some chain of events that can make any team better than any other team. Besides, Wisc is .5 games back of Iowa in the B1G, but 1.5 games ahead in overall record. Also have a tougher SOS, and much higher RPI. Iowa may be a better team, but so might Wisconsin.

While I think Iowa is better than Wisconsin I will reserve judgement until the Hawks actually own a win over the Badgers this year. Then we can have an actual debate

I'm probably alone on this but I thought MSU winning like they did last nite was a big win for them. They've been playing lousy lately and needed to play a decent game at home and beat a decent team. Yes , I think NW is a decent team. I also think MSU is the 3rd best team in the country but they haven't shown that lately. So i'll say what no one will say , THAT was an important game for MSU last nite.
