I actually believe we will upset the Oregon Ducks. Oregon does have a lighting offense that is going against a team who had its worst defense last year in school history. But this is a new year, new coach, new scheme that will greatly improve from the worst to a decent defense this year. But a decent D is not going to stop Oregon but hopfully keep them from making big plays the game and allow us to stay in the game.
The reason why I think we could pull this upset because the advantage we have is in the trenches. With one of the best and most exp OL in the country, I expect the VOLS to pound the ball to slow the paste of the game down. Which would give the the D rest and limit the amount of possesions Oregon will have on offense. We are not Stanford of LSU but we are more physical than Oregon like Stanford and LSU and have a great OL to pound the ball like the two did and win the game.
The great upsets are the ones no one sees coming and no one see's us coming.
I'd like to see it but Oregon isn't scared of physical teams, and only the most dominant of the bruisers has been able to beat Oregon. We always hear it tho.
The theory sounds good on paper but unless you're Auburn or LSU it hasnt materialize as an advantage vs Oregon. Well Stanford, once.
That being said, GO VOLS!
