I'd keep missing the playoffs 7 years in a row over what you Canucks fans have been through. Vancouver had the team that could have taken the Kings down, but they did not show enough character early on in that series.

I dont think Ive ever felt this team was further away from winning a cup. we had our chance we blew it. teams rarely make it back so soon after winning or losing it pitts and Det aside its highly unlikely no matter your talent.

I disagree with that. they showed Character. the same Character that lost them the Stanley Cup Final. They tried to "intimidate" the Kings with their Talent and attitude. They failed MISERABLY. what they should have showed was just hard work and tenacious effort. they didn't have that until Corey was in net. but still couldn't beat Quick. this playoffs fucking stabbed me in the heart for what really could have been. Nashville rolled over to Phoneix, Phonex to LA, St Louis just got plain beat down by the Kings and Detroit kinda got screwed over. those are the breaks you need. LA deserves this 100% no doubt they have dominated everyone. If only the Canucks played game 1 and 2 like they did 3, 4 and 5 against the Kings. might have at least been a 7 game series and who knows.

Detroit didn't get screwed over, they showed up at the rink with all the intensity of a desk jockey showing up to sit in his cubicle and get yelled at by his boss on a Wednesday. Cleary, Lidstrom, Zetterberg, and Howard wanted it. I'm not saying no one else did, but it was pretty hard to tell most of the time. They were lost in their own zone, they played like they just took a year off and were easing into an exhibition game. They might as well have brought lawn chairs and drinks with umbrellas out on to the ice with them. It was fucking pathetic, and a bullshit way to send off the greatest defenseman in franchise history. I hope that playoff series keeps them awake all summer long, I hope they have nightmares where Nick Lidstrom is crying in his bed and there's no one there to comfort him because all he wanted was another Conn Smythe and Stanley Cup for the good people of Detroit. I hope when Quincey, Franzen, Hudler, Filppula, and Ericsson go down to Burger King the guy just half ass takes some old rusty burgers and smashes them into a bag, and tells them "fuck it man, what's the point of trying? Nashville is just going to make a better burger anyways", and throws the fries in their faces.

I was referring to the weber non suspension. I think he should have gotten 2 games and that would have made a huge impact even 1 game would have.

While watching the Wings take the home win record and seeing the style of hockey the boys were playing, I thought that the Wings were going to at least go on a long playoff run this season. Then the tires started to fall off with the injuries.

It seams like an eternity ago when the Wings were set to play Nashville and I knew the season was going to end quickly...they just didn't have the mustard going into the playoff season. Fuck Franzen, Mules suck....

Going to be an interesting July 1st with the cash Kenny Holland has available, kind of excited to see what the changes to the Wings will look like.
