I've typed up a damn good letter, and I've found 10 small accounting firms in lincoln that ima deliver it too. It basically says I'm looking for an unpaid internship for the summer for 5-10 hours a week just basically when I'm not in class during the work hours. I talk a lot about how I'm just looking for an opportunity to watch some experienced accountants and learn a bit outside of the classroom

i know the idea sounds a little weak, but the letter is damn good and i think ill get a callback or 2

busy busy day today. class in 30 minutes, then a haircut, then i gotta go drop off my deposit for my summer lease.

then after that i have these 10 letters to deliver to accounting firms that are all the fuck over lincoln…..itll probably take me 2 hours

then tonight i gotta register with SEC so that i can take econ 215 this summer cause its the last class for me that is a pre-req for most business classes so if i have to take it in the fall i won't be able to take a lot of the classes i want and i will have to take a bunch of bullshit electives and it'll basically be a wasted semester

Enjoy life, sirs. Yesterday was a surreal day that hit me hard

1st was the while Aaron Hernandez talk and seeing a young man dead and then another one that threw his life away. Yes he is a piece of shit. But it's still a life

Then shortly after that, I saw a guy die on live tv. Police chase here in houston. Guy got out of the car, reached back in so the cops smoked him.

Enjoy life, sirs. It's only forever in heaven. Not here for sure

I took Monday off to clean up taxes. By doing the qualified dividends worksheet, I checked it three times, I lowered my taxes almost $2200. I am thankful that I pay taxes though, because that means we are making money.

Finished up the taxes and mailed them out on Tuesday, one day early.

This Saturday the youngest takes his first ACT, I don't think he will beat my 28 and his Mom's 31 though. After the ACT, he then has orchestra solos and chamber thingee.(Not sure why he has to do these), then we have a charity event on Saturday night.

I have his pencils, his erasers, and a clock for him. I expect the clock to be forgotten.

This month has been completely packed with too much stress for me. A $10,000,000 project at the beginning of the month(mostly on my shoulders), then I had to do taxes(wife nagging me constantly, all on my shoulders), and then I get to run around driving the kid to his events because we don't trust him to think clearly when he has too many things to do, he will forget something.(wife nagging me on this also, because she is too busy getting a massage, her nails done, and probably a haircut)

and 1217, always sit for the CPA. in my wise father's words: "the difference comes when you've been working for a company for 40+ years. if you have a certificate that says you're certified as a public accountant, they are gonna keep you, if you are a guy thats been working for them as an uncertified accountant…your ass is fired faster than a california wildfire" (yes the wildfire is his exact simile.
