It's about having seven home games folks. Those games pay for every other sport not football that Nebraska competes in. Husker fans fill the stadium to watch the Huskers beat the SDSU's of the world, they rake in the athletic funds for the year.

Which means we will not be scheduling home/home with great teams. IT WILL BE ALL SCRUBS.

We can still do a home/home with good teams, it just makes scheduling them more difficult, but they get scheduled so far in advance I don't see how they still couldn't be fit in....

When we only have 4 conference home games, all 3 non-conferences are home.....2 scrub games (instead of 3) and a home against a good team.....

The following year when we have 5 conference home games.....2 scrub games to give us 7 homes, and a non-conference road game to fulfill a home/home with a good team.....

Because of the protected cross-divisional game, it works out to where there will be times that you will go 5 years between meetings with teams of the opposite division the way it is now with 8 conference games......

9 Conference games is where it's at......

I still hates it...but you're right. There's still potential for that noncon game home/home series, just tougher to schedule.
