Sure seems that way, and neither in-state program can keep them there. They've had some crazy QB talent especially in recent years, and none of them stay there.

If Herm can have another solid year at ASU, I can see more of the top staying. The UT $9.95ers are implicating that Jake Smith (2018 Gatorade Player of the year fromAZ) is still homesick and sees what ASU is doing. Hopefully he sticks it out in Austin because he will have all the chances to become a starter in the slot where the last 2 WRs have done really well under Tom.. Lil Jordan and Duvernay.

That's why I was saying if realignment does happen and they merge schools from the Pac and Big 12.. AZ/ASU is a must. To have a healthy and respectable conference for football, basketball and baseball (big money generators) ... California plus AZ plus TX will bring stability.

Yeah that would have to be a big must. I was actually just looking back at the past few years, and they've had studs all over the field. If Herm can make it work there, he could have ASU on top of the Pac with Oregon sooner rather than later, but I guess that's not a given.

Yeah we aren't disputing that.. we are just in the line of thinking if Herm can have another solid season at ASU, possibly winning the South Division.. he may get some of those kids to stay in state next cycle.

yeah.. first real class normally gets a boost with a new coaching hire. But if he can follow up the 2019 season with a division championship and Pac 12 CCG appearance in 2020.. He may pry one of the highly ranked kids out the state in 21, but they have something real to sell the 22 class

Agreed. I think that will be a tall order for the Devils in 2020. Daniels is going to be tough though

Kid can run. Probably a better DB than a WR. Great return man prospect.
