Do you realize just how dominant of a second half pitcher Jim Johnson is, and do you realize just how dominant he had been in save situations since the second week of the season?

Ive just never been high on him as the Closer. He had what 1 good year with the Orioles?? I like him as a Middle reliever but I just think Motte, Ramirez,Vizcaino, or Cabrera could do a better job in that role.

I really like the idea of trying Adams at 3rd when Freddie comes back. Garcia isn't exactly a defensive stud as it is. How much worse could Matt Adams be? Offense could really thrive.

In all honesty we are probably gonna deal Markakis or Kemp at the deadline and Adams will just play the OF.

I could see us dealing Markakis, highly doubt Kemp will be on the table, or Copalella(spell) will have some splainin to do.

Ramirez has never closed a game at the big league level, and of the ones mentioned, I trust Vizcaino the least. We've already seen him fail as a closer for us.

Cabrera is being groomed to be the closer of the future, but Johnson had a few good years with Baltimore and a couple good years with us. I love what Motte has done, but keep in mind we signed him to a minor league contract after the season had already started, gotta give him some more time before we really know he's back or not.

Very lucky to only give up 1, but a good throw and we give up zero.

No telling how many throwing errors Freddie has saved over the years. Don't know if I've ever seen a 1B better at scooping up low throws and stretching and holding the bag.

That's a part of his game that we'll miss that there's no advanced stat to place a value on.
