I'll never complain about a series win, but man I was hoping for a sweep today. I think the Padres are the only team we've swept all season.

And then he saved the day a few games later.

But at the game yesterday, I was just thankful we had a quality closer like Jim Johnson to shut the door on the Brewers in the 9th to preserve a 3-1 win on a day that the offense once again let a washed up has been in Matt Garza hold them to just 3 runs for the second time this season.

Every 5 or 6 appearances he puts together 1 good outing.

Do you remember in Andrelton Simmons' rookie season, we made the wild card game? And then he throws a ball into right field on what should have been a routine force out that had just as much to do with us losing that game as that BS infield fly call?

If he's doing this next year, I'll agree with you, but ROOKIES get a bit of a longer leash.

Chipper made a bad throwing error too, but Simmons' error was costly too, and was worse because it was a shorter throw.

I really hope Jose Ramirez is using today to work on mechanics. He has returned to the 2016 version of himself his last few outings.

This is probably the most impotant week of the whole season. Freddie said he wants to be back for Washington series(idk if realistic) which starts next Thursday. We play 2 teams this week we are better than and then 2 against the Astros. If we can be .500 when Freddie gets back that would be huge.


Also we will have pretty much a month to try the Freddie at 3rd experiment.
