Just ot home from work, but I heard Brandon Phillips hit into a DP with the bases loaded and 1 out and then I heard him strike out with runners at second and third.

I also heard his 2 RBI single, but a routine fly ball in either of those spots would be nice right about now.

That's what I keep telling my wife. For every 3 or 4+ game losing streak we go on, there's gonna be a 3 or 4+ game wining streak we go on to help ease the pain. Having said that, the pain still sucks.

It sucks, but at the same time, I'm relieved we don't have to suffer through 0-9 again.

Plus you never can tell, we might be one of those teams that suck on the road, but are world beaters at home. It's a funny game and things tend to balance out over 162 games.

If a guy swings at a ball 6 inches outside and then watches strike 3 down the middle to end the game with the tying run on first, I'd send him down and look for another option. But then again I would have sent Kemp to the plate and told him to swing for the fences and either strike out swinging or give us the lead.
