The Lakers have got to quit stopping to play just because Kobe comes in. If we lose this, there is a definite pattern of players automatically deferring to Kobe. He missed FT's and shots and everyone else stopped playing.

He was 5 of 12, he made 5 of his last 6 FGA's.

Well all i can say is that the team can still play better then this. Offense did revert to kobe but the D never got any stops either. Though retro to be fair, i still think they moved the ball more this game then they did in the first 10 games. They have been lately movign more. There isnt anyone to pass to Kobe or swaggy besides them to eachother and thats a problem. No Lin Late.

i got tired of saying this, but i've pretty much said this from the jump...

The Lakers were going to be a longshot for the playoffs even if they were 100% healthy. Injuries and the ridiculous opening schedule just sealed their fate.

This makes games like last night must lose games. If the Lakers are to get anything out of this season, they need to get a top 5 pick. Games like last night where they play a game that was fun to watch, but ultimately lose, are just what they need.
