What a game. Amazing job by the bullpen. This team is the best team in the MLB no doubt!

Interesting add on:

"STATS LLC confirmed that Cruz's shot was the first slam to end a postseason game -- with a postscript. Robin Ventura sent a tiebreaking drive over the fence to finish a New York Mets victory against Atlanta in the 1999 NLCS, but was swarmed by teammates between first and second.
Ventura never made it around the bases and was officially credited with a single. His 15th-inning drive for a 4-3 Mets win in Game 5 came to be known as " the grand slam-single."

The Tigers fans will be pointing this out to try to get a moral victory.

I've been on ESPN...not on the boards, but goading Tiger fans into fits on various stories. It's a blast.

Their mantra today was the Rangers lost the season series so the Tigers "know" they can beat them.

I think now all the Tigers know is that they don't want to see another Ranger bullpen pitcher or Nellie Cruz...or Beltre...or Hamilton...or probably any of the warming up Texas hitters.

Anyone trying to go off of the season series doesn't know enough about the Rangers. Doesn't surprise me.
