Game Thread: Thunder Hosting Bobcats, 7:00 PM ET, March 2,2014

My native city's Thunder come in leading the Western Conference at 44-15, 27-9 in conference and 24-6 at home.

So much for the dinky home losing streak they endured last week! That inconsequential thing ended in their Friday game hosting Memphis.

Charlotte comes in 27-31, 18 games behind Indiana, 17-17 in their conference, 12-17 on the road but having won 6 of their last 10.

The Thunder, BTW, did sign 33 year old forward Caron Butler Saturday after he was bought out by the Milwaukee Bucks. I don't expect him to get a lot of playing time tonight and will have to do some websurfing before I say anything about what he should get.

Just did the websurfing I mentioned in my previous post and conclude that Butler has become a "garbage-time-only" player.

It's been 5 years since he last had a PER worthy of more than that.

If he shows more than that now, fine, but I'm not counting on it.

In any case, GO THUNDER!

Apparently Butler was late arriving in OKC.

He's not on the TV Companion box score anyway.

No great loss, IMO.

Butler isn't on the D-League Tulsa 66ers roster either yet.

How much that means is anyone's guess.

Warriors lost to Toronto. That doesn't please me. NYCs loss does.
