Well they were initially claiming they were going to get 400 people to show up in the first hour. Actual attendance: Just over 200 the entire day

Activities included hot dogs, beer and burning Jets jerseys and banners. A good old southern BBQ in many ways.

The ASG, showing their last bit of support for the fans sent a mascot to the rally to help boost spirits. Too bad of course it was the Atlanta Hawks mascot that showed up, the mascot for the team they want to keep.

I have some empathy for that fan, but none for "fans" (and I use that term very loosely) that burn Winnipeg Jets merchandise and carry signs that have slashes through the Canadian flag. How many days did Thrash the mascot spend in jail while the team tried to sell 5,000 tickets? It was more than a few.

History has recorded that the Atlanta Flames did not win a single playoff series and that the Atlanta Thrashers did not win a single playoff game. Somehow that's befitting for a city that's regarded as one of the worst sports cities in North America.

By the way, if you think I'm just talking out of my ass and that I'm a know nothing Canadian, I lived and worked in Atlanta for 18 months and have first hand knowledge of media coverage in Hotlanta. Hockey is an afterthought down there and always will be (Nascar and golf get more attention).

Exactly how I fell about peeps in Hartford and surrounding areas who have/do talk shot about NC.
Redneck jokes, inbred comments, don't "deserve" hockey, blah blah blah.
we didn't steal them, you lost them.
If you are one of the 9-10k that showed up, I think you have a right to be mad.
